about me

Chintan Joshi My research goals include realizing the full potential of computational biology, and eventually, contributing towards understanding metabolism of microorganisms. With these goals in mind, my research interests include: synthetic biology and systems biology of cellular metabolism, production of biofuels using cyanobacteria or algae, mathematical models of evolution, and comparative analysis of organisms within/across different species.

Being a squash player since I was 12, I got a chance to apply some of my knowledge of squash at racquetball, a sport more known in the United States. Apart from my research and sports, I also enjoy making oil paintings, pencil sketches, calligraphy, and writing abstract blogs.

Being a design fanatic, I admire designs, natural or man-made. These include everything from landscapes to flocking and concrete structures to websites.
